What the region looks like on a tour plan

These routings are building blocks, not products. Every tour we run is planned from the group's own programme, but operators keep asking the same first question: what fits into the days we have? Here are schematic answers with honest coach times, each one of many possible variants. Distances in the region are short enough that a performance tour does not have to live on the motorway: most legs between the classic stops stay under four hours of driving, which keeps afternoons free for rehearsals, sightseeing, or the concert itself. Use these as a starting point and let us check your actual draft against reality.

Classic core, 7 to 8 days

Arrive Munich, transfer to Salzburg (about 2 hours) for two nights, on to Vienna (about 3 hours) for two or three nights, finish with Prague (about 4 hours) for two nights, depart from Prague. Two to three performance slots fit naturally; the days stay balanced.

Alpine and Bohemian, 10 to 12 days

Start Zurich or Munich, Lucerne two nights, across the Alps with a South Tyrol stop for two nights, then north via Salzburg (two nights) to Vienna (two nights) and Prague (two nights). More scenery, more driving than the classic core, still with no extreme days.

Capitals and Saxony, 10 to 14 days

Arrive Berlin for three nights, south to Dresden and Leipzig (about 2 hours from Berlin, 1.5 hours between them) for two or three nights, on to Prague (about 2.5 hours from Dresden) for two nights, finish in Vienna or Munich. Strong for ensembles with a German repertoire focus.

Short leg, 5 to 6 days

One region done properly instead of three done in a rush: for example Vienna plus Salzburg, or Prague plus Dresden. Often the right answer when the Europe leg is part of a longer itinerary that arrives from elsewhere.

What we check before you publish

• Real door-to-door coach times on the planned days, not map estimates
• EU driving-time and rest rules against the day plans
• Load-in and call times where performances are planned
• Buffer for borders, passes, and city traffic where it matters
